After reading the mixed reviews regarding the 4.0 Motorola Phone Tools I was extremely skeptical. True it was conveniently lower in price than the one at Motorola (they want to charge you $39.99 for something I paid like $4 for), but since the functions were not made clear I wasn't sure if I would purchase(despite the deal).You see I had just recently upgraded to the D&G Razr and didn't want to repurchase all of my ringtones, and all I wanted Phone Tools to do was create new ones for me(cheaper than the $2.49 T-Mobile is charging.
To my surprise it did that and then some. Yes, you might run into problems dealing with configuration where you have to uninstall and reinstall the program, but once you learn to hook your phone up first and then start the program that is salvaged. It also auto updates to newer versions. This product is truly a gem, and for a computer nerd like me, a huge asset.
