Magic-Pro ProMini BT-Touch 2 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard - 2nd Generation Review

I am Running Windows 7 on a HP Slate. The Magic-Pro ProMini BT-Touch 2 Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard works well when paired. However,is must be paired each time you boot. This is a pain. This requirement was not explained in any review I read, or could find. It is also not referred to in the documentation. To confirm Google "Have to pair BT keyboard every single time". I have not found a solution to this. If it would pair as a mouse is would most likely solve this. My Logitech Bluetooth mouse pairs on boot-up. I would like to find a solution. If there is a solution give it 4 stars.

No need for the Android driver on the CD (good thing because the phone wouldn't let me side-load it), Just pair and go. I did need to enter 0000 pair key (into both the keyboard (0000+ENTER) and the phone). After that I was able to use it with Quick Office to make a Word doc. I haven't had a chance to check range yet, will do that tomorrow and add a comment to the post updating the info. Also the F9-F12 can be entered by a combo of keys according to another review (I don't remember which ones thou)
Edit: Ok, a little testing and my range so far is 9 feet with clear line of sight. After my replacement Multimedia Dock for my Moto Atrix arrives I will do a more comprehensive (and greater distance) test. Also to use F9-F12 you press Fn+1,2,3,4.
And the Back light is Fn+F1 and after it times out press any key and it turn back on.
Edit: Ok, 10+ feet and no problem. Got a HD Dock that works and sat on my couch and surfed the net using Firefox on my phone/computer. Sweet! It's just like the Atrix commercial ""Is it a phone or a computer?". Oh BTW no problem using the keyboard and track pad, paired as soon as I turned it on. Remember, always turn the computer on first, then the keyboard.

I-Tec Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard Folio for iPad (T6061) Review

Talk about a disappointment. I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of this iPad case with built-in keyboard. But the disappointment started when I first took it out of the box. The First Sadness was that the case itself adds almost an INCH of ugly pleather thickness to the otherwise svelte iPad. I know that cases can double or triple the size, but this one nearly quadruples it.
That's okay, I thought. I'm sure the keyboard will be worth the trade. Enter Sadness Number Two: The keys are TINY. Somehow they've managed to take a keyboard that is almost the same size as the stellar Apple Bluetooth keyboard, but shrink the keys to the point that anyone with normal-sized fingers will find the keyboard uncomfortably cramped. And there are weird design decisions that just made things worse. I want to shout at the idiotic designers: Why in the world are the caps lock and tab keys larger than the letter keys? Do you realize how much space you could have saved by shrinking all the non-letter keys?
Then as I examine the keyboard further. Time for Sadness Number Three: I realize that it doesn't look like it was designed for the iPad at all. There is an entire row of function keys (more wasted space), SOME of which do control some iPad functions (search, music controls, home screen), but some of which do absolutely nothing. What is the point of a "prt sc" button? Maybe if it took a screen shot, that would be nice, but it doesn't do anything! Same for the F1/F2/F3 buttons, and the F5 button, which has a little picture of a keyboard on it but doesn't bring up the on-screen keyboard no matter how much you press it.
And the on-screen keyboard would be very useful here. Because even though the keyboard's design is nonsensical, it doesn't even matter because there is a far worse problem (which I shall dub "Sadness Number Four"): Almost none of the keys on the home row work!!! Do you know any words that make use of the letters A, S, D, F, J, K or L? If so, good luck trying to type them out on this keyboard (or should I say, "eyboar"). Sure, this is clearly a faulty unit. But given the overall level of quality I'd seen so far, I was not at all surprised when eight of the keys simply didn't work.
What of the keys that do work? What if I don't particularly care for the "A" vowel anyway, and only write documents using EIOU? Sadness Number Five: The keyboard is a squishy piece of latex that provides horrible tactile feedback. It's very possibly the worst keyboard I have ever used.
And if I want to just use the case, can I remove the keyboard? NOPE, not unless I take a knife to it.
About the only positive thing I can say about this case is that the included stylus, while nowhere near the quality of a Boxwave or Griffin, might come in handy from time to time.
In short: this is a horrible case and its "designers" deserve to be publicly lashed. In about five seconds it will be in the trash. STAY AWAY.

Qmadix Portfolio Case w/ Removable Bluetooth Keyboard for Apple iPad Review

I searched around for some time and was excited about this keyboard. I was even more excited when I received it. Unfortunately this does not quite live up to expectations during the week I have been using it so far.
The Good: The case itself is nicely made and very functional. I particularly like the detachable keyboard. This allows you to place the keyboard in the optimal position in relation to the ipad itself. You can also choose to set the keyboard aside and just carry the ipad in the case. When carried with the case the keyboard attaches itself to the ipad cover magnetically - a nice design. The keyboard itself is well constructed. The USB connection is solid and should not have the breakage problems reported on many other wireless keyboards.
The Bad: Now to the disappointment. I use the ipad to take notes in meetings. I found the apple wireless keyboard to work well but it was a pain to carry the extra piece of equipment so I bought this product. Unfortunately I found that the Qmadix is not nearly as good as the Apple wireless keyboard. I continually run into problems where the Qmadix did not recognize the pressing of a key. I found that if you type slow and really concentrate on pushing down the key hard it works well but I don't want to have to pay such close attention to what I type. Another problem is that the keyboard goes into sleep mode if you have not typed something for 45 seconds. You then have to press a key to get it to "wake up" and reconnect which takes about 3 seconds. I called technical support and they said it was designed this way to extend the battery life. I suppose that makes sense but I am finding it very hard to get used to this. I should note that Qmadix claims that other Bluetooth keyboards operate in a similar fashion so I guess I'd have a hard time with those too. I wish they allowed this to be a configurable option. I think I would trade battery life for a more responsive experience. One final issue with the unit is that the battery is not replaceable. As far as I can tell when the battery inevitably starts losing its ability to charge you are left with no option but to replace the keyboard.
Bottom Line: I'm going to keep this unit for now. If I can get used to the typing pressure needed to get keys to register then I'll be happy. If not this one is going back to Amazon and my three star rating would drop to 2 stars.

Feels cheaply made, the space bar didn't have same feel or sound when pressed like the other keys do, maybe mine is defective in that way. Another issue i encountered was digits repeated once in awhile, even when the key is no longer pressed or physically stuck, maybe its my computers issue?!?!? I do like the size of this device and fell in love with the pictures of it on Amazon, but once in my hands and i started using it I was a bit disappointed. I continue wanting to hold this device from each side and type with my thumbs. The device was not designed for that, as the touch pad is located on the right of the device. Of course I'll continue to play with it and maybe update review after some more time then the 2 weeks I've sparingly used.

Macally Bluetooth Keyboard with Viewing Stand (Vertical and Horizontal) for iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G (Black) Review

I'm going to be returning this keyboard to Amazon, but not because of build quality or function. I just find it impossible to type on with my average-sized hands. I've owned several netbooks, and this is considerably more difficult to use. It's also rather large for a so-called portable keyboard, especially with the cover/ipad stand attached.
**Update: My wife (who also took sole custody by iPad, by the way) has no problem with the keyboard, so I gave it to her to throw in her bag and use for longer emails, etc. I'm going to order the folding keyboard from Freedom for use with my iPhone.
Back to this keyboard, If you are a hunt-and-peck typist and you don't plan on hauling this around with you (or you carry a bag/purse), this keyboard will do the trick, but if the feel of a keyboard is important, you might want to consider buying the Apple bluetooth keyboard. It's lighter and thinner. It might be wider, but since none of these is pocketable, the width doesn't really matter.
So, anyway:
Pros: Durable, comes with iPad stand and keys are responsive
Cons: For me, it's easier to type on screen than to type on these cramped keys. Too large to truly be considered "portable" and perhaps overpriced for what it is. The Apple keyboard is about $20 cheaper and while it doesn't claim to be portable, It's easier to slip into a bag than this one.

I just recently received my iPhone Bluetooth keyboard two days ago and I can honestly say, of all the accecessories I have purchased for my iPhone this has to be the best investment I have made! Very convenient and easy to use. It does it exactly what it says it's supposed to and it came in only 2 business days from the time I ordered it. You can't beat speedy service like that. Overall, this product is well worth the money. A+!

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 (Silver) Review

I am a big fan of the ergonomic keyboards. You know the ones with the split keys. And my wrists hurt at times from typing at work. Well, I have to say that I've been using this keyboard for a week without wrist pain.
I think that the flat design helps my wrists as I no longer need wrist supports. My wrists are flat with the desk and the keyboard. So that helps an awful lot.
This comes with all the batteries that you'll need to get started. The mouse will recharge. The keyboard won't. The keyboard needs 4 AA batteries. So far, I have no idea when it's going to die but I keep spare batteries in case.
The feel of the keyboard is more like a laptop keyboard than a traditional keyboard. There's very little down stroke when you press a key. No too springy either.
The function keys on the top are not really keys but a small depression that you have to lightly touch. That took some getting used to.
I'm not 100% sold on the design. I use the arrow keys a lot at my work and they're much smaller than most of the old keyboards I've used. There are times where I've thought about returning to the old keyboard just because of that. But I still like the feel enough to give this a chance.
The mouse works fine. It's a mouse. It's no Logitech laser MX but it's not bad. The action is fine. It's nice to have the keyboard and mouse drive off of one little bluetooth USB key.
Overall, I'd recommend this with a few reservations. If you're super sensative to the ergonomic keyboards and don't like regular keyboards, avoid this. Also, if you need a 10 key or use the arrow keys a lot, this is not the keyboard for you. Beyond that, you've got a stylish cool keyboard with a good mouse.

Apple Wireless Keyboard (M9270LL/A) Review

The greatest compliment I can give this keyboard (or any wireless device) is that you won't be able to tell the difference between it and a wired keyboard. No lag, no signal fading in or out, no buttons missing or anything else. The shape and keys are identical to an Apple Pro Keyboard, great news because the tactile feel of the keys is to die for. Setup literally took 60 seconds. I got a signal as far as 30 feet -outside- my apartment, through a closed door and all kinds of walls. Gamers rejoice, there is no lag of any kind.
Draw-backs for this keyboard: You will have to change the batteries every 3-4 months, but at least OS X notifies you in advance when to change them. This keyboard doesn't have USB ports, so you'll have to plug your mouse into the computer or get a wireless mouse.
If you are the average user who leaves his/her keyboard in front of your monitor and don't really mind your keyboard wire among all the other clutter of your desk, then this keyboard might be overkill for you. The wireless capacities are strong, but you can only really use it as far away as you can read your screen.

Apple Wireless Keyboard (M9270LL/A) Overview

The wireless keyboard design has a beautifully compact footprint. This keyboard comes with a full suite of keys and functionality, and it's a pleasure to use.

eXo Keyboard Review

I wanted a small wireless keyboard w/ a mouse for my HTPC with long battery life. This little guy does it all. The batteries last several weeks (depending on usage). The keys are backlit so you can see them in the dark. The trackpad is OK, but I am somewhat biased, as I can't stand trackpads. There is a laser pointer built in too. One thing that I didn't realize is that this includes a bluetooth usb dongle. I don't think it was mentioned in the description. It works but doesn't transmit very far and is VERY susceptible to interference. I ended up using one of those 5 dollar mini ones that they sell here on amazon. Much better performance and reception.
